Bill Brassington
Bill Brassington is a dedicated second-term School Trustee with a proven record of commitment to public education in Burnaby. His experience includes serving as School Board Chairperson and participating on the District Community School Advisory Committee, the City of Burnaby Parks, Recreation and Culture Commission, and the Transportation Committee. He also chairs the School District’s Audit Sub-Committee, emphasizing accountability and transparency.
In recognition of his service to the community and education in Burnaby, Bill was honored with the Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Award in 2022. As a parent of two Burnaby students, he believes in the power of strong public education and neighbourhood schools.
For over 30 years, Bill has volunteered in our community, serving as PAC Chairperson, a member of the Sustainable City Advisory Committee, and a coach for Hastings Little League and Burnaby Minor Softball.
Bill is passionate about ensuring that "Our children get one chance at school, and as a Burnaby parent, I want to ensure Burnaby Schools focus on making our children feel safe, supported, and valued while they learn."
He looks forward to continuing his advocacy for families and teachers in Burnaby.
