Kitty Yao

Kitty Yao is an audit manager at a public practice firm, where she focuses on financial oversight, risk management, and accountability. She is passionate about applying these skills to support transparent, responsible, and community-centered governance in public education.

Alongside her professional work, she has been deeply involved in community service in Burnaby, particularly supporting seniors, families, and multicultural communities, and currently serves in leadership roles with several local non-profit and community organizations. Through this work, she has seen how important strong, inclusive public schools are to the wellbeing of families and the future of our community.

Kitty graduated from Simon Fraser University and has become familiar with Burnaby’s public education system through family and community involvement.
