Kristin Schnider

Kristin Schnider has been a dedicated advocate for strong public education for over a decade. A Burnaby resident for more than 20 years, she lives with her husband David and three children and is proud to be seeking re-election for School Trustee with the Burnaby Citizens Association.

As a current Trustee and Chair of the Burnaby Board of Education, Kristin has focused on equitable funding for K-12 public education, strengthening the community school model, championing accessible childcare, and fostering a culture of respect across Burnaby’s diverse school community. Professionally, Kristin works in communications for the Public Service Alliance of Canada, bringing valuable experience in advocacy and public policy.

As a parent with students in the Burnaby school system, and a former two-term Burnaby District Parents Advisory Council (DPAC) chair, Kristin brings both lived experience and proven leadership. She is deeply committed to her community and will continue working hard to support students, families, and public education.
